TCGs are wonderfully complex and each have unique card mechanics, play styles and strategies. These games greatly inspired the way Overlay Strike was designed. While Overlay Strike isn’t a trading card game, it features similar elements such as draw cards, battle themes and player interruptions. I wanted to create a game that showcases these mechanics but in a pick-up game style that anyone can enjoy.
This has been my first venture into the world of game design and I’ve loved every step along the way. From concept to art design then production, it’s been a two year journey to get to the point where I can finally share with you the finished product.
